We recently completed a balcony deck with cable railing in Bellevue. We were excited about the project as it presented an opportunity to create a deck with exceptional views overlooking Seattle.
So, we jumped in and got started!
As you can see in the Bellevue drone video, the raised deck balcony mounted in the backyard of the house elevates the homeowner’s outdoor living space with a view of the city. To make sure the view was not obstructed, we installed custom cable railing. The deck railing was manufactured in Bellevue by Maisy Railing, while the composite decking boards were manufactured by Trex.
Scenery is a strong selling point for many homes. Through our custom deck engineering, we design decks that enhance views, not obstruct them.
Often foundations can be tricky as if not done right they can create an eye-sore. We wanted to make sure that the foundation did not detract from the beauty of the home. So, we built the deck with larger than standard posts to minimize the number of posts needed. This made sure that the foundation didn’t obstruct the view from the lower levels of the house.
Bellevue and the greater Seattle area is renowned for being a rainy environment. We had to make sure that our decking could withstand this weather for many years to come. So, we used decking boards that are water sealed and come with long warranties, making the deck perfect for whatever the Bellevue weather can throw at it.
We believe in consistency, both in the quality that each of our decks exudes but also in the design. The wide top rail, which is a perfect place to set drinks and small plates, is made from the same material as the decking boards.
With the same decking board used on the platform, the top rail is fitted to the top of the cable railing. These top rails made from decking boards are softer than the raw steel railing and wider than the steel.
When we design and build decks for homes across Washington and Northern Idaho, we understand that they can add significant value to a property. A large part of this value comes with the views that they offer of the skyline.
When considering a deck for your home, it’s important that you see it as an investment. When you do sell your home down the line, you’ll be creating an appealing addition to your home that will attract many more interested buyers.
