We often get to work on incredible homes, transforming the outdoor area into a haven in which homeowners can entertain or simply relax. We recently completed one such job, on a superb and charming wooden home.
The end result was the complete transformation of the home’s exterior, where the final product was a natural wood-colored deck with a frameless glass railing and a pergola deck cover. This was another one of the really great projects that our passionate team get to work on.
One of the challenges we faced with this project was to create a seamless transition between the two. The homeowner chose a more natural-looking finish to help enhance the outdoor deck area and to create a modern space to enjoy. The lighter wood added freshness to this outdoor space, and the homeowner was really pleased with the final product.
We added a cable railing stairway that led from the top level to the ground and lower floors. This type of railing system created a safe and stylish addition to the overall deck structure. The dark railings enhance the lighter deck and complement the darker wood of the home.
The lower floor was designed to flow into the garden area, which was framed by the glass railing. This created a great spot for entertaining guests and enjoying the outdoors. As you can see the homeowner opted to install a small firepit in the middle of the lower deck, which has created an incredible space in which to entertain guests.
This we felt was one of the best features of the deck. The frameless glass railing added a modern and stylish element to the outdoor area. The homeowners were incredibly pleased with how this addition completed and enhanced their outdoor deck area, adding a touch of luxury to their home. Such railings offer an uninterrupted view of the surrounding area, which is important if you are looking to make the most of your decking area.
These railings not only look good but provide a safe space for the homeowner to enjoy. As you can even the pooch was happy with the final product!
The upper deck was finished in the same natural wood color, which was balanced out by a wooden pergola above. This provided shade to the area and added an extra dimension of charm to the overall design. The use of both dark and light woods created a stylish look for this outdoor area, while still providing much-needed protection from the sun.
On the upper deck, doors open up from the home, providing a welcoming entryway to the outdoor area. Walking from the inside of the home to the upper deck area creates a true sense of fresh air and being immersed in the outdoors.
On the upper floor, we opted to design the left side to expand out, to create a greater sense of space, especially when viewing the deck from inside the home. It’s the perfect place to add outdoor furniture.
We used high-quality brackets to secure the frameless glass railing in place, which allowed us to ensure that it was safe and secure. We wanted to make sure that the final product looked as good as possible for the homeowners, and these brackets echoed the high-quality nature of the entire frame.
The frameless glass railing allowed for a clear view of the garden below, providing an incredible sense of space and making the most of this great outdoor area. As you can see the glass creates an invisible barrier that is both stylish and safe. Alongside the high-quality decking material, it creates a space that looks exceptional.
The side view of the pergola is another great way to appreciate this outdoor space. The combination of the dark and light woods really creates a stylish atmosphere that was just what the homeowners wanted for their outdoor deck area.
The end result of this project was a stunning outdoor deck area that the homeowners can enjoy for years to come.
